Everyone at DeafColorado.org, and throughout the Deaf community, is devastated by the heartbreaking loss of deaf actress Kaylee Hottle. She was involved in a car crash and died on July 21, 2026 at age 18.
Her talent, spirit, and the joy she brought through her work, especially the King Kong movies, touched so many lives.
We mourn with deep sadness and send our love, prayers, and heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who are grieving this unimaginable loss.
May Kaylee’s memory live on in the hearts of the community that loved her so much. We will never forget her.
Most of us deaf people don’t like to use VRI (Video Remote Interpreting)! You prefer a live in-person interpreter. But it’s hard to explain to the authorities why, especially medical authorities.
