NAD.org’s VRI Wallet Card
Most of us deaf people don’t like to use VRI (Video Remote Interpreting)! You prefer a live in-person interpreter. But it’s hard to explain to the authorities why, especially medical authorities. So NAD created this wonderful and helpful Wallet Card that you can print and keep in your wallet or purse. It explains why VRI isn’t always a good thing.
You can download the sheet and print it: nad.org/VRI-card
For those who are curious, here’s NAD’s in-depth explanation: nad.org/about-us/position-statements/minimum-standards-for-video-remote-interpreting-services-in-medical-settings/
Thank you, NAD.org!
