“Feel the Beat,”(FTB), a nonprofit dance program and studio that is dedicated to making the experience of music and dance accessible for individuals that are deaf, hard of hearing, with, and without disabilities. Their classes are instructed in American Sign Language in addition to English! In addition, their studio has a vibrotactile dance floor that allows dancers “to feel beat” and the music through bone conduction. They go above and beyond to provide accommodations for each dancer! Their adaptive program provides a safe and encouraging space for individuals of all abilities and ages (children to adults), while ensuring a focus on further enhancing each individuals’ dance and life skills.
