Volunteers and supporters of DeafColorado.org are in shock and deeply saddened by the tragic events that happened on October 25, 2023, in Lewiston, Maine, where four members of the Maine deaf community— Billy Brackett, Brian MacFarlane, Joshua Seal, and Steve Vozzella— lost their lives in a senseless act of violence. Our hearts ache for the families and friends of the victims during this incredibly difficult time.
The lives of these gentlemen were cut too short and will leave a big hole in the Maine deaf community’s heart. We ask everyone to join us in keeping the victims and their loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
